The olive tree
The olive tree has a natural longevity, and it can be good cropper for centuries. It’s an evergreen tree, and its leaves remain in the tree from 2 to 3 years. The top side of the leaf is coloured in bright dark green because it has a protective cuticle which allows the tree to survive during hot and dry periods. The under side is covered by a hairy cuticle which gives its natural silver colour.
